Student Organization & Conflict Awareness Training (SOCIA)

Student organization training requirements for the 2017-2018 academic year include Student Organization Conflict & Identity Awareness Training (SOCIA). SDSU SOCIA Training is offered in collaboration with the National Conflict Resolution Center, an organization that promotes collaborative dispute resolution and conflict management to individuals, organizations and society.

Trainers offer a wealth of applicable knowledge and information to leaders on how to sucessfully engage with different conflict roles.  Additionally, students learn valuable aspects of identity awareness which helps them become effective leaders as well as diverse individuals.  SOCIA trainings as a whole, can be seen as a leadership and personal enhancement seminar.

Smart Tech Policies

The classroom Smart Technology includes the classroom computer, projector and sound.  If you have questions concerning the technology use in campus classrooms you can find the Technology Usage Policies below.  If you elect to forgo the smart technology policies and attempt to have a faculty or staff member unlock it, your technology will be terminated remotely by Instructional Technology Services (ITS).

Important Message Regarding Recognized Student Organization (RSO) Application  

The Spring RSO Application season began on December 1, 2017 and will end on February 1, 2018.  Student Life & Leadership will review your application during that timeframe if the application has been submitted for review.  Please email if you need assistance. 

Make sure to download and use the CL@S App (Campus Life @ State) and the new Presence Portal to see our Recognized Student Organizations and departmental events happening throughout campus!  




 Student Organization Leadership Development Program (SOLD) 

Student Life & Leadership (SLL) are excited to announce the launch of the Student Organization Leadership Development Program (SOLD). The program focuses student and organizational growth within your student group.

The program offers various activities and events for student leaders to participate in throughout the semester. These activities foster valuable personal and professional skills for you as you progress through your college leadership journey.  

Participation in this program will greatly enhance the sustainability and continued growth of your RSO.
